True equality before the law

The hold that the elite has on the judiciary makes it possible for rich, upper class criminals to go unpunished while lower class offenders re given the harshest sentences. We see this day in day out, a situation that has established the justice system as unjust. Countless number of people are held in custody for years due to their inability to afford justice while the rich through their resources, power and connections are able to get away from high crimes.

Inequality grounded in 1992 Constitution

Going to the very soul of the 1992 Constitution, Article 34 of the transitional provisions provides that no one involved in the coups d’état in 1966, 1972, 1979 and 1981 can be held accountable for any actions or atrocities they may have caused.
