ACCRA, GHANA — In a bold Pan-African declaration of unity and resistance, the Economic Fighters League is calling on all Africans — from every walk of life — to take to the streets of Accra on May 25, Africa Liberation Day, in a historic #WalkWithTraoré #HandsOffAfrica March.

Under the banner “#WalkWithTraore,” the march is a rallying cry to defend Africa’s sovereignty and to stand in unwavering solidarity with Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the young leader of Burkina Faso, whose defiant stance against neocolonialism has ignited hope across the continent.

“Africa is under siege — economically, militarily, and ideologically,” said Commander-In-Chief Ernesto Yeboah. “But a new generation is rising. Traoré represents that new African spirit — courageous, uncompromising, and free. We are walking with him because we are walking for ourselves, for our future, and for every inch of African dignity.”

Why We March

For too long, African leaders who dare to chart an independent course have been isolated, vilified, and overthrown — victims of foreign interests and local betrayal. But not anymore. The #WalkWithTraoré march will serve as a people-powered show of force, an assertion that the African street is awakening and will no longer sit idle as the continent is sold out to the highest bidder.

Scheduled to begin in central Accra, the march will bring together activists, students, community groups, artists, workers, and ordinary citizens from all corners of the country and beyond. Organizations and movements from across West Africa are already pledging their participation, in what is expected to be one of the largest Pan-African gatherings of its kind in recent memory.

Open to All – United for Africa

The Economic Fighters League has emphasized that this is not about political affiliations or party colours. “Whether you wear red, green, blue, or no colour at all — if you believe in the liberation of Africa, this march is for you,” the Fighters declared.

Individuals and groups interested in organizing, speaking, or marching are urged to REGISTER NOW on the Fighters’ official website. Placards, drums, megaphones — and most importantly, conviction — are all welcome.

Africa Must Rise

On Africa Liberation Day, the legacy of Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara, and Patrice Lumumba lives on through the footsteps of the people. As the continent grapples with mounting debt, foreign military interventions, and extractive trade deals, the May 25 march is a statement that Africa will not be bought, bullied, or broken.

History will remember this moment. The only question is: Will you be there?

Come and take your stand.
