Who We Are

We are a non-partisan political movement, comprising people of different political, religious and ethnic backgrounds fighting for economic freedom for all Ghanaians. We believe there is a system that ensures that the resources of the state are used to serve the luxuries of a few rather than the necessities of all. This system must be defeated to achieve economic democracy for all.

  • Ownership of resources must be in the hands of the people not foreigners.
  • Our people must be guaranteed a minimum standard of living such that they can live meaningful lives while contributing to the growth of the economy.
  • Our resources must be distributed in a way that benefits all citizens rather than just a few privileged ones.

Our Mission & Vision

As a radical Nkrumaist movement mobilising people at the grassroots to achieve economic freedom for all:

Our VISION is to to achieve economic freedom for all

And our MISSION is to bring down the system of economic exploitation, which is robbing the people of their economic freedom and to erect one that serves all the people.

How We Started

Things were getting out of hand and something needed to be done.

Discussions started to centre around corruption in public office and soon broadened to include all the other aspects of national life that border on the welfare of the people.

It was decided that an organisation be formed to mobilise people on the ground, in the factories, on the farms, markets, schools etc. to fight for their economic freedom.

How We Fight

We fight the system with a 4-Pronged Approach

  • ACTIVISM: Taking on causes that disturb the system. Dealing with the symptoms of the system while preparing for the final onslaught. This helps slow the system's further cementing .
  • MASS MOBILISATION: Mobilising people at the grassroots. Mass numbers will make us unstoppable in pushing forward the abolishment of the 1992 Sakawa Constitution.
  • LIVELIHOOD DEVELOPMENT: Helping people at the grassroots to acquire livelihood skills with which to sustain themselves while we work at demolishing the system.
  • POLITICAL EDUCATION: Raising the class consciousness of the masses and making sure people know their rights and responsibilities.

Our Structure

Our fight is comprehensive and multifaceted. Otherwise we may achieve success in one area, which will be erased by happenings in another area.

This is why we have a structure to deal with several aspects of the Ghanaian system.

  • The National Assembly: a gathering of all Fighters. It is the highest decision making body.
  • Central Command: this is the central command comprising the Commander-in-Chief (the overall leader), Fighter-General, Commander in charge of communications and students, Chief of Chest (in charge of finances/administration), Commander in charge of Legal Affairs, Commander in charge of Projects, Enterprise Development Commander (in charge of developing businesses) and Commander of Education Bureau (in charge of ideological education), Commander of Creative Arts and Advocacy Command, Commander of Solidarity Command. These are the national leaders.
  • Regional Command: each region has a command
  • Constituency command: in each constituency. A number of constituencies make a region
  • Ward: A number of wards make a constituency
  • Cell: the most basic unit of the organisation. A number of cells make a ward. Each member must belong to a cell. A cell has a minimum of 2 Fighters within the same location.
