The Central Command of the Economic Fighters League has announced the appointment of Namata Serumaga-Musisi as the interim Fighter-General, following the stepping down of Hardi Yakubu. Namata, who has been the commander in charge of Communication and Creative Arts for the past 3 years, brings a wealth of experience to the role. As the Head of Creative Arts before that, she was instrumental in most of the mass actions organized by the Economic Fighters League over the years, thanks to her background in Architecture to Activism.

Of Ugandan origins, Namata is a thoughtful, courageous woman of deep conviction and principle. She believes in wresting power for the people in a way that truly benefits them, leading the charge in the Economic Fighters League’s mission to make the people prosperous.

The Economic Fighters League wishes Commander Namata the best as she leads the movement in this transition period.
